  • Karthigai Ashtami: The Ashtami in the Tamil month of Karthigai is called Kala Bhairava Ashtami, and worship on this day is considered very powerful.
  • Chanting mantra: Chanting the mantra Sri Swarna Akarshana Bhairavaya Namaha” 108 times for 48 days or on Nine Ashtami days is believed to bring blessings.
  • Offering food: Offering cooked rice and vadai garland to Bhairavar is believed to help in completing desired work successfully.
